Blogs + Good Content = Money

So, from the formula, it is explained that Money can be generated through blogging and by providing good content to your readers. I have no objection to that opinion. In fact, I myself managed to generate some money out of this blog by providing some good content to my readers. I have to admit, I was sceptical at first, but once hundreds of dollars are generated, you’ll feel much better. As a person who is actively involved in search engine marketing, I have some argument about the formula stated above..

I have strong feeling that another element must be added to the formula, in order to have a great milestone in making money online. Without it, you will not get a good result and won’t even generate a penny.

What is the missing Element?

I’m not good at math, trust me. But I do believe in order to have steady income, traffic is another element that you must take into serious consideration. So, let me re-construct the formula:

Money = Blog(s) + Good Content + Traffic

Even the best constructed blog in the world, properly managed in terms of content, will not make any good money online if they don’t have enough traffic. This is true for any statement.

How to get Traffic?

There are two ways to get traffic to your blog. One is the paid method, and the other is the free method. If you ask me which one better, of course I will answer using paid method. Using paid method to get traffic is the best and fastest way to get your blog flooded with thousands of visitors. But, this method is less used by newly-emerging Internet marketer because of some limitations. Though it gaves you pretty fast result, it does require money to make it a reality. So, money is the limitation. Your money must be properly manage to get better results. When it involves money, it is an investment, and you want to make sure your ROI is good. Paid method includes Search Engine Marketing, Paid Banner Advertising, Paid Text Link Ads etc.

What’s the free method to get traffic? Whilst free is good, but getting the result will make you eargerly wait. That is the balance factor  if you are using free method of getting traffic. Let’s take a look at search engine optimization for example. Let’s say, you are competing for a term make money online, and you do all on page and off page optimization in order to get good ranking in Google SERP. Google, on the other hand, will not show any changes over night. It takes months of optimization period, and if your optimization techniques are good, then you’ll be happy to see your blog on top of your targeted keyword. Other free techniques of getting traffic include social networking, social bookmarking, BUM marketing, link exchange, post exchange etc.

High traffic & paid method = Fast result.

High traffic & free method = Months of correct optimization.
